New Employment, Artsy Videos and Friend Time

So this weekend I went to the city yet again, but as I said in the post before this one I had an interview at a department store at 9am Saturday. The interview must of gone well because I was hired! I was terrified of this specific interview because I had never had a group interview before, but it really just seemed like a conversation occasionally given a direction by the three interviewers. I ended up missing the train I had planned on taking to the city, but that really wasn't a problem.
Once I was in the city my friend Gabbi; of Mieu Makeup, met me at the train station so she could make a quick stop at LUSH and the MAC counter in the Macy's on State Street. Saturday was a pretty relaxed day Gabbi made some delicious pasta, we ate ice cream, then picked up our friend Zach from where he works near Water Tower Place. A little bit of visiting at his dorm then sleep so that we would actually make the Eyeworks festival we had originally planned to see on Saturday, but missed due to my interview.
The eyeworks festival of experimental animation was a very interesting collection of short films that lasted about 70 mins. We were very glad that it started slightly behind schedule because we ended up in the wrong building and had to ask a security guard for directions (>.<). After that was over; and Gabbi and I split ways for a bit, I met up with my friend Stephanie for a late lunch at Chipotle (so delicious). I enjoyed the city a bit and walked Stephanie to work and met back up with Gabbi for a bit of shopping. We grabbed some Starbucks (the holiday flavors are here we HAD to indulge) and headed to Marshall's for a sweater she had been eying and then the MAC counter at the Water Tower Place Macy's for a paint pot she had also been eying. Gabbi also discovered that they now have an Inglot  counter (she was VERY happy). That short shopping adventure was then concluded and I waved at the H&M my friend works at as I ran to catch the red line to make it too my train.
My weekend was great and I look forward to soon starting up work in the 'burbs! How was your weekend?
